The designs in the books, pattern packets, color worksheets and dimensional art plus photography featured on this web site are the property of SKS DESIGNS and Susan K. Stamilio. The pattern line drawings in each published book or packet may be reduced or enlarged for the purchaser’s fun or profit without written permission. Painters may hand paint the designs for fun or profit, but the designs are not to be used for the purposes of mass-market reproductions.

Teachers may make one copy of a pattern line drawing per student for a class. Teachers also have the opportunity to buy patterns, photographs and color worksheets by bulk at wholesale rates for your class.

Other than the specified exceptions, no reproductions of any type may be made from any part of the materials being featured on this web site without the written permission of the designer.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT COPYRIGHTS AND PATTERN ALTERATION

Most artists cringe at the idea of people taking their patterns and running them off on a copy machine. When you have spent months of your life designing a pattern or a book, it is hard to see all of that effort shortchanged with the flick of a button. Having said all of that, I must tell you that while I have a problem with people “sharing” copyrighted material at the artist’s and publisher’s expense, I can see no reason why someone who has BOUGHT a book or pattern packet cannot take the designs and reduce or enlarge them to fit their own personal needs.

Whether the painted pieces created from the designs are to be used in your own home, as a gift, or to be sold at a craft show or consignment shop is of no consequence to me personally, as long as the design is not being used by a commercial enterprise for purposes of mass production.

Now that doesn’t mean handing out a copy of a pattern to every one of your painting friends! Otherwise, the author and the publisher are out of business in no time, but being able to tailor PURCHASED material to your own needs is part of the fun of creating something artistically unique. Please feel free to alter and size the patterns to fit your needs and enjoy painting your own special creations! If you have questions or comments, you can write or call me directly.
