PP143 -Smoker Santa

Looking to add variety to my collection, I chose this multi-dimensional piece as the 2003 installment to my Santa series. The pattern features stylized florals, with a whimsical face and beard, and loads of optional ornamentation to enhance the overall appearance of this unique hand turned wood piece.

PP144 - Bella Donna Plate

The piece is an adaptation of traditional Italian majolica pottery, and features a broad variety of painting techniques. White on white ornamentation, petite lac basecoating, transparent detail overlays, and all the elements of traditional face painting are covered in the comprehensive written instructions and step-by-step color worksheets.

PP145 - Jewel Box Basics

This packet has been designed specifically to show the painting process used to simulate the look of precious jewels. PP149 - Cardinals and Dogwoods

Two methods of faux finishing are used for both the background to the florals, and as a lovely “shabby chic” finish on the scalloped filigree border of the plaque. The birds and florals are painted using a layered value building technique. Dark backgrounds and transparent overlays of color provide a painting short cut to create the birds!
