Project: Face Painting
TechniquesTwo day
technique course in face painting geared to the ADVANCED BEGINNER decorative
painter. A new angel project has been designed specifically for this class to
teach the fundamentals of face painting. It features a lovely angel with
outstretched wings, ornamental collar and jeweled head piece. Discussion and
demonstration of several different painting methods commonly used to create
realistic looking faces will be covered during this two day seminar.
CHOICES, CHOICES, and did I
mention CHOICES ?!……..
CHOICE OF COLORS:
The student will be provided
a list of various color combinations for hair, eyes and collar allowing them to
tailor their piece to their own style preferences.
CHOICE of
PAINTING SURFACES:
You may choose
any surface you like on which to paint this pattern. You will be provided the
8.5” x 14” angel line drawing pattern, which you may enlarge or reduce to fit
the surface of your choice.
DecoArt
will be providing paint for in-class use, but basecoating paints will need to be
purchased by the students themselves. The fee for the instructional materials
includes: a class prep packet with full size basecoating pattern, a detail line
drawing pattern, color basecoating photograph, and full written instructions for
preparing your piece. Student notebooks will then be provided the first day of
class that includes color photographs, full written instructions and
step-by-step color worksheets for the project, as well as figure drawings and
materials covering the various aspects of face painting.
